I first met Richard in the Wolverhampton Society of Artists. Over the years he had a tremendous input in the Society and was envolved in arranging the programme of events, Society exhibitions and other functions. He also used his photographic and computer skills particularly in the production of the Society's magazine - the Limner. Richard was a talented artist with a distinctive style and range of subject matter. He always managed to capture the mood and feel of the subject in his paintings and it is perhaps this that makes his work so fascinating. His work is much admired by fellow artists and was exhibited widely. Latterly, we were both members of a Breewood Art Group and he enjoyed and contributed to the creative and friendly atmosphere in the group. Richard was generous with his skills and in the time he devoted to others and he will be fondly remembered by many people. Richard was one of the good guys - I'll miss him. Glynn Bonnington
